Healthy Homes Standard

It’s important to make your tradie aware you require your product and install are to the Healthy Homes Standard! Non-compliant jobs can incur fines if randomly audited, and more money if remedy required. I am trained and competent to assess, quote and or supply a compliance or exemption statement for you.

Insulation Standard

Ceiling and underfloor insulation has been compulsory in all rental homes since 1 July 2019. The healthy homes insulation standard builds on the current regulations and some existing insulation will need to be topped up or replaced.

Moisture Ingress Standard

Rental properties must have efficient drainage for the removal of storm water, surface water and ground water. Rental properties with an enclosed sub-floor space must have a ground moisture barrier.

Compliance Dates:

From 1 December 2020

Landlords must include a statement of their current level of compliance with the healthy homes standards in most new or renewed tenancy agreements.

From 1 July 2021

Private landlords must ensure their rental properties comply with the healthy homes standards within 90 days of any new, or renewed, tenancy.

From 1 July 2024

All rental homes must comply with the healthy homes standards.
